Trainers - Hunters and Jumpers

Sara Hamilton-Conversano

Born in Concord MA, Sara grew up riding and competing in the Hunter/Jumper and Equitation divisions at "A" circuit shows on the East coast, as well as riding in the NEHC and MHC medal finals on several occasions. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lake Erie College in Equine Studies, specializing in teaching and training. While in college Sara was an active member of the Intercollegiate Team at the Open Level and won one of the division championships at IHSA Region VIII Finals in '91-'92. She was also actively involved in expanding her Dressage and Jumper skills, and competed in the Lake Erie Team de Ville in both Dressage and Jumpers.

She has devoted her life to the care and training of both horse and rider. Sara has held top positions such as trainer/instructor at Beaver Brooke Ponies in NH, The Pony Farm in NH, and Dutch Manor Stables in NY.

Sara has trained and attended clinics with Anne Kursinski, Michael Matz, Stefan Peters, Jimmy Wofford, and currently works with Harold Chopping. She believes it's important to one's professional development to keep training with Olympic caliber riders and trainers. "Learning is a life long process and I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills so I can apply this knowledge and help others in their endeavors to become good horseman.

In 2005 Quail Roost Stables hired Sara to be their Head Instructor, where she runs a large public lesson program, summer camp, and UNC Physical Education Riding course. She also has clients at Equiventure Farm owned and operated by Carroll Hill Stone, located on Quail Roost. Equiventure has top level Amateur and Juniors competing on "A" and "C" level circuits. There she trains, teaches, takes clients to shows and markets horses and ponies for sale or lease. Sara enjoys taking on new projects and is currently accepting new clients and horses in for training.
